Tehran to play host to South Korean Cultural Festival

Iran Visa: Tehran will be playing host to the South Korean Cultural Festival that will be opening next week and offering a variety of different programs.

In a press conference held here at the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) on Tuesday, Ambassador of South Korea to Iran Sung Wung-yeub elaborated on the programs arranged for the event.
The festival has been arranged to better introduce Korean culture to Iranians, the ambassador said.
The ambassador’s official residence in Tehran will be hosting a ceremony celebrating Independence Day of South Korea today, October 3.
The major programs will begin on Saturday at the IAF with a conversation competition in the Korean language, the ambassador said.
A photo exhibition entitled “A Gem in the East” displaying a collection of photos taken by Iranian photographer Meysam Movahedfar will open in the forum on October 6. A festival of South Korean films will also open in the forum on the same day.
In addition, South Korean food festival will offer traditional cuisine during the event at the forum.
The ambassador added that a branch of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, the largest arts and cultural complex in Seoul, will also be inaugurated here in Tehran to teach the Korean language to Iranians.
A two-day tour on October 10 and 11 traveling to the edge of the central deserts of Iran near Kashan has been organized on the side lines of the event.
Several other programs have also been arranged on the side lines including a taekwondo competition opening on October 23 at the Iran Taekwondo Federation.
